Even though the batteries you receive from us will be almost fully charged you should still complete a full charge before first use, the period of this initial charge need only be until the charger states they are ready, you might just want to fit them and use, but that would be unwise, missing out on charging them first could shorten overall life expectancy.
You may not notice it but it will probably take a few charges and use in your equipment before you are able to receive a full capacity charge in your batteries, this is quite a normal part of the conditioning process, as soon as you after each use put them back on charge, do not allow them to sit in a discharged state, fully discharging your new batteries will reduce the overall life span and they will need changing earlier, this will cost you money in the long run, if for any reason you are not using them for long periods then you should recharge every four weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time.
These are 12-volt valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak they are both AGM and VRLA, of course they are the required deep cycle kind and they are not-hazardous so safe for on the road and indoors as well as travelling by aeroplane, but of course you should confirm this with your airline at point of booking your flight.
