The lightweight Pro Rider Elite comes as standard with 14ah batteries. These compatible ones will replace them. The Pro Rider Elite is a travel scooter than can easily be dismantled so it can be transported. These batteries are valve-regulated lead acid with absorbed glass mat construction, so they will not leak even if mounted on the side or flung about in the boot of a car. They are safe for public transport and airlines, although you should check when booking your flight.

Although the batteries will never need maintenance, you can still ignore the charging regime. You should charge fully when they arrive and before first use. This should take a little time as they will almost be fully charged. You may find it will take several charges and use in the mobility scooter before they can take a full capacity charge. This is quite normal and is part of the conditioning process that all rechargeable batteries go through. We suggest charging after each use rather than allowing it to run down the battery and, if not being used for more extended periods, charging every two months to keep the cells active and reduce self-discharge.
