Replacement Vision CP1245 battery, rechargeable 12v sealed lead acid VRLA AGM batteries often used in computer UPS systems supplied a low price direct from UK warehouse.
This is a valve-regulated lead acid battery pack. Because it is also AGM using absorbed glass mat technology, it will not spill, making is safe to be situated on its side without fear of spillage. It is also non-hazardous and used in many devices, quite often in computer UPS battery backup, uninterruptible power supply and surge-protected systems.
Where it is used in such a device, you don't need to worry about the unit's charging as this is taken care of internally and will typically last between 3-5 years in such an installation in normal conditions. This, of course, can be affected by many things, excessive load and overheating, the latter can be caused if the UPS is not sited in a dust-free climate-controlled environment. where this is the case take care to remove dust from the vents of the system, before they get on to the fan blades reducing there ability to keep the system cooled. if, however, it is going in something that requires manual charging, then charge before first use. In general usage, it is far better to recharge after every use than to try to discharge it too far.
