There are two batteries in this set.
The Pro Rider Freedom is a lightweight mobility scooter which holds two 12v 10ah batteries. The battery is a VRLA and has AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology, so it is safe to store and connect to your scooter. It is safe for any transport since it is non-spillable, including aeroplanes (please check with the airline first).
This battery pack is for the standard fit 24v 10ah. Fitting the batteries is very straightforward. Refer to your manual for detailed instructions. On the back of the scooter, there will be a box. Turn it upside down, and you will see several screws, unscrew these and lift the box off. You will now see a pair of batteries, remove these carefully and slide the new batteries into place. A piece of advice would be to use a camera to take pictures of each step in case you get confused or have to stop installation midway. Also, we recommend laying the new batteries along the side, so you do not inadvertently connect the wrong cables.
Your battery will arrive almost fully charged, but we recommend setting it thoroughly before the first use overnight if you must. This is very important in extending the life of your battery and keeping it in good condition. The battery must be charged after every use. Keeping it at full charge as often as possible is the best way to maintain the charge level the battery can hold. If a period goes by, which is eight weeks or more, you should charge the battery fully but never keep the battery on charge for more than twenty-four hours as this can seriously damage the battery. High 110mm (115mm with terminals) or 4.33-inches.
