The batteries that we send to you will be almost fully charged but the system will still need to complete a service charge after installing, it does mean of course that during this interim period the full runtime protection will not be available to you until its finished, if you can it would be best to allow the initial charge without any load to start, we know this may not be convenient in a lot of installations but that is best advise it's up to you whether you heed it
It would be fair to expect batteries to last somewhere between two to five years in this UPS, the usage however will determine this, sufficient ventilation is important, preferably in a air conditioned communications room, batteries will in general use get hot if the heat cannot disperse it will shorten life span, also do not overload with to many devices, if you can keep the load below 40%, while the system may be of going higher than that its working the battery cell harder which means a shorter life span
These batteries are very resilient and can be mounted on the side without any issues, no leaking, which means they can be used in tower or rack mountable situations, they are the recommended VRLA type and benefit from AGM technology they are not-hazardous so safe for use in critical environments
