The Yuasa-YTX5lBS is a smaller motorcycle style battery. once activated the battery is fully charged and will need no maintenance. it can then be used to start the vehicle but as the first charge is important we would recommend you take it for a good run afterwards to get a full charge in it. the best way to look after them is to use at least a few times a week.

If you are only a seasonal user of your device and it does not get used during the winter we would suggest removing the battery. charge it fully and remove and again every four weeks but do not leave it 24/7 on a charger nor directly on a cold concrete floor. following this very simple rules will ensure that come the following season you will still have a serviceable battery pack.
