The Rascal 301 Viva is a solid, stable and steady outdoor class 3 Powerchair produced by Electric Mobility so you know that it is reliable. This Powerchair comes with some very impressive features that make it one of the leading wheelchairs to date. The Rascal 301 excels in both comfort and reliability to give you confidence when you need it the most. With a range of 20 miles, being able to carry up to 400lbs (28.5 stone) and the ability to negotiate most uneven terrain (thanks to its large drive wheels) makes this powered chair a perfect heavy duty choice. Another feature that the Rascal 301 Viva has is the power seat lift which really helps the user getting on and off. Full lighting kit, mirrors, safety belt and a adjustable luxurious seat as standard gives you the confidence to really go where and when you want.
The Electric mobility Rascal 301 Viva standard fit batteries are a pair of 12v 34 ampere which is what is on offer on this page. We can supply these batteries as a longer lasting 38ah, since they are the same physical size you should have no problem installing them. Please check the dimensions of your old battery and compare it with the sizes on our website to be sure which one your Rascal 301 Viva can hold.
However, when purchased this power chair had the option to hold a further extended pair of batteries which is a pair of 12-volt 55 ampere which will give you more miles per charge, further increasing the usefulness of this Powerchair. More importantly having the upgraded batteries will leave more residual charge in the battery once you have finished with it for the day, this means that the battery will last much longer if treated correctly. Please check which batteries your mobility chair can hold as the two pair of batteries are different physical sizes. To make the most of your batteries, whether they be the 34ah or the 55ah will be the same process. Once you receive your batteries they will be almost fully charged but you should put them on charge before your first use, overnight if you are able but importantly never leave any battery on charge for more than 24-hours as this will cause serious damage to your battery! Putting the batteries on charge after every use is very good practice and will keep them at peak condition for the longest. If a period of eight weeks pass and the batteries haven't been used it is highly recommend that you fully charge them. Installing your new batteries shouldn't be too complicated and you should follow your manual that came with the Rascal 301 Viva carefully to avoid damage to the Powerchair and to yourself. A piece of advice would be to take pictures during each step of removing the old batteries which should make installing the new ones that much easier.
