Replacement APC RBC140 battery pack, set of 16 sealed hot swap capable VRLA AGM user replaceable batteries for the uninterruptible power supply at low price delivered direct from our warehouse.
This offer is for sixteen user replacement batteries, they are the recommended valve regulated lead acid type with absorbed glass mat, this means they can be mounted on their side so can be used in rack mountable and tower systems without fear of spillage, the are also not-hazardous so safe for use in busy data centres and of course the home office.
Fitting is easy, just open the tray door and swap over one a time so you do not make a mistake. They are hot swap capable so you can do one tray at a time, there is sufficient batteries in this pack to do the two cartridge trays use for the APCRBC140.
How to extend the life of your RBC140 batteries?
You should be able to expect a life span of between three to five years in such a application, this may well be dependent on excess load applied and sufficient ventilation in the communications room. Obviously the UPS has its own charging cycle which is a good start however you should run the system without load directly after installation as this will help them reset. Other tips on extending battery life are making sure the system is clear of dust, having good ventilation around the system, stored in a climate controlled room and using less than 40% load where possible.
Recycling APC RBC140 battery
This product can be recycled so when they are no longer performing the duty that you have purchased them for in years to come please ensure they are sent to a recycle centre for processing. They have a very high content of Lead Pb and perfect for such transformation, more information on this subject can be found on our recycle page.
