Rascal Liteway 3 & 4 extended battery pack Balance Plus sealed 22ah.
Replacement Rascal Liteway 3 and 4 22ah extended battery pack, also for the Balance and Plus two sealed lead non-spillable for the extra runtime pack fitted to some of these transportable mobility scooters.

This set is for the extended larger battery box that is sometimes fitted to the Rascal Liteway 3 and 4 as a optional upgrade, more information and options will be listed further down this page.

The batteries are valve regulated sealed lead acid with a absorbed glass mat construction, they will not leak making them suitable for portable use, also not-hazardous enabling public transport compatibility.

If you do not know whether you have the extended runtime battery box or not then use a ruler to measure it, the outside physical dimensions are below to help you, then you can make an educated decision, if you indeed have the smaller box then you can use the options above where it says easy upgrade to select the smaller one, which will be cheaper.

The standard box is (approx) (this can take 12ah & 15ah)
Height = 30cm (11.81 inches)
Width = 22cm (8.66 inches)
Depth = 12cm (4.72 inches).

The extended box is (approx) (this can take 18ah, 20ah & 22ah)
Height = 29cm (11.41 inches)
Width = 22cm (8.66 inches)
Depth = 17cm (6.69 inches).

Charge your new batteries fully before first use, it will not take long as they will be almost fully charged, do the same as soon as is convenient after every use, if you can keep a minimum of 20% energy in the cells at the end of the day they will last longer overall, if you are not using them for prolonged periods then a top up charge every 8-weeks will slow down the natural self discharge of the cells.

Chemistry of batteries are - Valve regulated lead acid or VRLA & absorbed glass mat construction or AGM.

The Rascal Liteway 3 and 4 Balance and Plus can come with either the standard or extended battery pack from new depending on the supplier and how it was provided, if you do not know what pack you have you should measure the batteries and compare them to the details above, if they do not match then you will have the standard set for which you will be able to find a link to below.
