When you get the batteries from us they will have a fairly high charge in them, but you still need to fully charge them before first use, there should be no need for many hours, just until your charger indicates they are ready, this will of course depend on the charger capabilities, do not be impatient, wait until this first charge has completed before thinking about using the equipment, it will contribute to overall battery life
If you are a normal user then you will probably not even notice it but it can take up to ten charges and associated use in your device before its capable of accepting a full capacity charge, this is all part of the conditioning process and quite normal, you should fully charge your batteries as soon as you can after every use, do not leave them sitting in a semi discharged state any period unless necessary, fully discharging your new batteries will reduce the overall life span and they will need changing earlier, this will cost you money in the long run, these batteries need to be kept charged, so if there is any reason where they are not be used then ensure they are charged beforehand and then every 4-weeks, but do not leave on a charger for more than 24-hours
The battery type that we are offering her is VRLA and AGM, they need no maintenance, no topping up of fluids, they are sealed lead acid and valve regulated with AGM technology, they are not-hazardous and safe to use around the home or on pavements as well as travelling although if you are booking a flight you should check with the airline first
Check the code on your mobility equipment carefully to ensure you are ordering the correct battery set as many of them have very similar names of codes, if in doubt you could check the dimensions of the batteries and take note of anything that may be written on the side of them, the size of the batteries are also specified below so you can confirm, the batteries themselves have a very high lead content so they are recyclable, more detailed information about recycling lead batteries can be found on a link at the foot of this page
