Here are battery replacements for the Powerstart PS-510 (formally Mega Boost MB510) and the Powerstart PS-700 (formally Mega Boost MB700). The battery boosters are ideal for the regular starting of small petrol or diesel engines.
They both require the same battery, a minimum of 12v 18ah. But it is highly recommended that you purchase the higher ampere battery of 22ah since this will provide a better boost, with more power and not strain the battery as much. The battery on offer on this page is the 22ah but further down the page will be a link for the lower 18ah battery if that's what you require. We also supply a higher CCA (cold cranking amps) designed explicitly for jump starters; we usually supply these batteries to garages because of their power but it is suitable for the Powerstart PS510 and PS700, the link for this will be further down the page.

Once you have bought your replacement battery you will need to replace it with the old one, this shouldn't be too difficult and should only require a little common sense and a screwdriver. Start by making sure no power is running through the booster pack, then you will need to unscrew the screws and open the battery pack up. Once at this stage take extra care unplugging the old battery, put the new battery in its place, plug it all back in and replace the cover.
To prolong your batteries life you should take good care of it, you can do this by charging your battery fully before its first use and always place it on charge after using it but never for more than twenty-four hours. Also if you are not going to use it for a period of about four weeks you should top up the charge to keep it at peak condition.
Your old battery will be recyclable and so is your new one, this means that they can be broken down and made into new things, possibly even another battery.
