Even though the batteries you receive from us will be almost fully charged you should still charge before first use, while you only need to charge until the charger says its finished it is very important and not a step you should overlook, while you may well be tempted just to fit them and go it's well worth waiting that short period to set them up in the right way before you start.

It will probably take a few charges and use in your equipment before you are able to receive a full capacity charge in your batteries. This is quite a normal part of the conditioning process. Once you have used your electric vehicle, then you should put it back on charge as soon as you can. Do not leave it sitting in a semi-discharged state for any longer than necessary. Do not fully discharge the batteries. this can reduce life span quite drastically so cost you money in the long run, if there are long periods where you are not using the batteries you should recharge every four weeks and do not put them away discharged, even partially, do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time.

These batteries require no general maintenance; they are AGM and VRLA and non-hazardous, so safe to use in the home or on the road, and for travelling by air, but you should check with your airline when you book your ticket.
