This is an offer for two sealed batteries for the Sterling-Pearl lightweight mobility scooter; this is a transportable scooter that can be easily and quickly broken down for easy transportation in the back of a car or other vehicles. The batteries are valve regulated and have AGM technology; what this means to you is that they will not leak so that they can be put in and out of a car boot without fear of spillage. It also means they are not hazardous, so they can safely be taken onto public transport and even flown, which is crucial to buying a battery for a travel-type scooter.

Both the boxes are easy to change. Turn them upside down and remove the screws from underneath with a Phillips screwdriver and change the batteries, no more than five or ten minutes to do.

In looking after your new batteries, you should charge them before first use. It will take up to ten charged and used cycles before they can maintain a total capacity. This is quite normal and part of the conditioning process that all rechargeable batteries must undergo. If you can, it is better not to discharge below 50%. The more often you can maintain that, the better. Recharge after each use, do not let them sit in a partially discharged state. It is preferential to charge after every use, and if not being used for long periods, recharge every four to six weeks but do not let them sit on the charger any more than eight hours.
