When you receive your order from us your new batteries will be almost fully charged but you will still need to complete the charge before first use, it should not take that long, just until the charger indicates its ready, if in doubt overnight will be more than enough, while you may well be sorely tempted just to fit them and go without charging it's well worth waiting that short period to set them up in the right way before you start

It's not something that most will notice but it will take a few charges and use in the equipment before a full capacity charge is reached, it's part of the normal conditioning process, ensure that after every use that you put the batteries back on charge, letting them sit in a partially discharged state is not wise, going out of your way to fully discharge the batteries will reduce their life span, so do not do it, there may be many reasons for the equipment not be used on a regular basis, if there are protracted periods where this is the case then ensure the batteries are charged before hand and then topped up every four weeks but do not leave on a charger for more than 24-hours at a time

These 12v batteries are AGM and VRLA they are deep cycle and not-hazardous so suitable for use indoors or in electric vehicles, they will not leak all features that make them useful for use in this kind of application, they of course do not require any maintenance

Check the code on your mobility equipment carefully to ensure you are ordering the correct battery set as many of them have very similar names of codes, if in doubt you could check the dimensions of the batteries and take note of anything that may be written on the side of them, the size of the batteries are also specified below so you can confirm, these batteries are recyclable the main component is lead which can easily be recycled, more information on this can be found at the bottom on this page on our recycling link
