When you receive your order from us your new batteries will be almost fully charged but you will still need to complete the charge before first use, the period of this initial charge need only be until the charger states they are ready, you may well just want to fit them and use the equipment, but do not miss this first step, it's worth waiting until the first charge has completed and it might contribute to over life span
It's not always apparent but it will take up to ten charges combined with use in your device before a full capacity charge can be achieved, this is the normal part of conditioning, you should fully charge your batteries as soon as you can after every use, do not leave them sitting in a semi discharged state any period unless necessary, never go out of your way to deliberately discharge, this will only reduce overall life span, they may be protracted periods where the batteries are not being used, if this is the case ensure they are fully charged first, then top up every four weeks but do not leave on a charger for more than four weeks
The battery type is AGM which is short for absorbed glass mat construction, they are also valve regulated, they means they can be used electric vehicles around the home or on the road without the fear of any leakage, with deep cycle properties that this type of installation would require, they will require no maintenance throughout their entire life span and are not-hazardous so safe for travelling including by air but you should check with your airline at point of booking your ticket
