After you have installed your new batteries in your Midi 4 you should charge them fully, they will be delivered to you almost fully charged, we would recommend that you also charge after every use, it is not wise to allow them to sit in a discharged state for any period that is not necessary, in general use you would be better off not using the final 20% of the capacity, by not doing so you will be helping extend the battery life overall, if they are not being used for extended periods then a charge every 8-weeks will help to minimise the natural self discharge that occurs with every rechargeable battery
