The batteries will be delivered with a good charge in them, but you still need to give them a full charge before using for the first time, the time of the first charge will be dependent on the charger, just leave it on until its finished, do not miss out this important first step, it will help set them up and possibly extend the overall life expectancy of them
Most users will not even notice but it will take a number of charges and associated use in your equipment before they are capable of accepting a full capacity charge, this is quite normal and part of the conditioning process, after you have used your equipment you should get a charge back into it as soon as you are able, do not leave it sitting around in a partially discharged state for any longer than absolutely necessary, never go out of your way to deliberately discharge, this will only reduce overall life span, there may well be extended periods where the batteries are not being actively used, if so ensure they are charged fully beforehand and then recharged every four weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time
These 12-volt batteries are sealed lead valve regulated or VRLA and further benefit from using AGM technology, this means they will not spill so can be used indoors or on the road or pavement without fear of leakage, capable of deep cycling as would be essential in this type of application, they are not-hazardous so safe for use in travel including aeroplanes but you should check with your airline at time of booking
Ensure that you order the right battery by carefully checking the code on your mobility device and comparing it to the information here, a lot of them are very similar so it can be easy to make a mistake, if in doubt check the batteries themselves, the dimensions and anything written on the side of them, we have included the physical sizes of the batteries so you can double check, this product is recyclable it is made mainly of lead which is easily transformed, please ensure they are disposed of properly at a recycling centre when they have fulfilled their purpose for you, more information about recycling can be found at the foot of this page
