The batteries will dispatched to you almost fully charged, but you will still have to charge them before first use, the time of the first charge will be dependent on the charger, just leave it on until its finished, this first step is important so do not ignore it, do not use without this initial charge, doing so can shorten expected life span
it may well take a number of full charges and alternating use in your equipment for the battery to condition and be able to take a full capacity charge, this is quite normal, allowing your new batteries to sit without charge is not a good idea, as soon as you have finished using it put it back on charge, do not attempt to deliberately discharge the batteries, it will only do them harm and will reduce the life span, there may be many reasons for the equipment not be used on a regular basis, if there are protracted periods where this is the case then ensure the batteries are charged before hand and then topped up every four weeks but do not leave on a charger for more than 24-hours at a time
These 12-volt batteries are AGM ( absorbed glass mat ) and VRLA ( valve regulated lead acid ) they are deep cycle and not-hazardous so suitable for use indoors or in electric vehicles, they will not leak all features that make them useful for use in this kind of application, they of course do not require any maintenance
