The batteries will be delivered with a good charge in them, but you still need to give them a full charge before using for the first time, the charge time will depend on your charger, just leave it on until it indicates its finished, you might just want to fit them and use, but that would be unwise, missing out on charging them first could shorten overall life expectancy
If you are a normal user then you will probably not even notice it but it can take up to ten charges and associated use in your device before its capable of accepting a full capacity charge, this is all part of the conditioning process and quite normal, after you have used your equipment you should get a charge back into it as soon as you are able, do not leave it sitting around in a partially discharged state for any longer than absolutely necessary, fully discharging your new batteries will reduce the overall life span and they will need changing earlier, this will cost you money in the long run, it is important to keep a charge in the batteries for long life, so if there is any period of time where they are not being used then charge before hand and top this up every four weeks but do not leave on a charger for more than 24-hours
These 12-volt batteries are AGM ( absorbed glass mat ) and VRLA ( valve regulated lead acid ) they are deep cycle and not-hazardous so suitable for use indoors or in electric vehicles, they will not leak all features that make them useful for use in this kind of application, they of course do not require any maintenance
