After you have unpacked your new battery order from us you will note that they will have a good charge in them, but you still need to complete a full charge before first use, the charger LED lights will indicate whether it is still charging or not, you only need to charge them until they are ready, do not just install and go without this initial charge, doing so can shorten expected life span, it's well worth doing
it may well take a number of full charges and alternating use in your equipment for the battery to condition and be able to take a full capacity charge, this is quite normal, when you have used your devices then put the batteries back on charge, you do not want to allow them to sit in a partially discharged state, never try to discharge the batteries, with this type of technology it will only mean a shorter life, If there are extended periods where the batteries are not being used then ensure they are fully charged beforehand then recharged every four weeks but you should not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours
These batteries are deep cycle capable, which is essential in this type of application, the VRLA and AGM cells will not leak and not-hazardous so suitable for travelling, there is not maintenance required, except of course charging which we have covered on this page, both VRLA and AGM
We offer the information on this page purely as a guide only, if you carefully check the code on your mobility equipment then you should be OK, many are very similar so it's worth being vigilant, if in doubt look at your old batteries, take note of the dimensions and anything written on the side of them, we have included the dimensions of these batteries so you can double check, the batteries are as you would expect recyclable, more detailed information on recycling can be found at the foot of this page
