There are two batteries in this set as would be required for the Invacare Mistral.

The Invacare Mistral powerchair could come with either 31 or 51ah GEL batteries, if you wish to order the larger batteries then they can be selected above from the easy upgrade drop down menu under avaiable options above.

The batteries will be delivered with a reasonable charge, but you still need to give them a full charge before using them for the first time. The time of the first charge will depend on the charger. Just leave it on until it's finished. Do not miss out on this important first step. It will help set them up and possibly extend their overall life expectancy.

It may well take several full charges and alternating use in your equipment for the battery to condition and be able to take a full-capacity charge; this is quite normal. Ensure that after every use, you charge the batteries. Letting them sit in a partially discharged state is not wise, do not attempt to discharge the batteries fully, this can reduce life span quite drastically, so cost you money in the long run. There may be many reasons for the equipment not to be used regularly; if there are protracted periods where this is the case, then ensure the batteries are charged beforehand and then topped up every four weeks, but do not leave them on a charger for more than 24 hours at a time.
