When you receive your order from us your new batteries will be almost fully charged but you will still need to complete the charge before first use. It should not take that long, just until the charger indicates its ready, if in doubt overnight will be more than enough. You may well be impatient enough just to fit and use the equipment without charging but it's well worth waiting until its fully charged and will help extend overall life expectancy.
Most users will not even notice but it will take a number of charges and associated use in your equipment before they are capable of accepting a full capacity charge. This is quite normal and part of the conditioning process. Make sure that you charge your new batteries after each and every use, they are capable of many charges but this will reduce if you let run them down in-between. Never try to discharge the batteries, with this type of technology it will only mean a shorter life. These batteries need to be kept charged, so if there is any reason where they are not be used then ensure they are charged beforehand and then every 4-weeks, but do not leave on a charger for more than 24-hours.
These are 12-volt valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak they are both AGM and VRLA, of course they are the required deep cycle kind and they are not-hazardous so safe for on the road and indoors as well as travelling by aeroplane, but of course you should confirm this with your airline at point of booking your flight.
