Please find below details to help you consider the decision of purchasing a new set of mobility batteries for your Invacare LX-3. Your electric vehicle utilises the batteries to store energy they are 34-amp hour batteries, it uses 2 x 12-volt batteries. These are replacements for them, safe to use indoors, suitable for deep cycling as well of course as rechargeable they are made for this kind of application. The batteries will dispatched to you almost fully charged, but you will still have to charge them before first use, the charge time will depend on your charger, just leave it on until it indicates its finished. Do not just fit them and roll without this initial charge, it will help to extend the battery life overall.
You probably will not notice but it will take up to ten charges and associated use in your device before the batteries are capable of taking a few capacity charge, this is normal. Once you have used your equipment put the batteries back on charge, do not let them sit in a partially discharged state for any longer than absolutely necessary. You should never deliberately go out of your way to try fully discharge the batteries, this will only reduce its life span and cost you money in the long run. There may be protracted periods where the batteries are not being used, if this is the case ensure they are fully charged first, then top up every four weeks but do not leave on a charger for more than four weeks.
These 12-volt batteries are sealed lead valve regulated or VRLA and further benefit from using AGM technology, this means they will not spill so can be used indoors or on the road or pavement without fear of leakage, capable of deep cycling as would be essential in this type of application, they are not-hazardous so safe for use in travel including aeroplanes but you should check with your airline at time of booking.
