Pride Jazzy-1143 mobility power chair battery replacement
Replacement Pride Jazzy-1143 battery pack, rechargeable sealed mobility power chair batteries supplied direct at low cost.
In general the Pride Jazzy-1143 comprises of two parts the chair and the power base, many controls are in the chair depending on what type of configuration you have as of course there are many options available at point of purchase.
Installation
We already assume you know you need new batteries for your power chair, otherwise why would you be looking here in the first place. Changing them if you have never done it before is quite straight forward, we will try to outline the method here, you can of course also refer to your owners manual.
First thing to do is to ensure your Pride Jazzy-1143 is switched off, also make sure the chair is not freewheel mode, you do not want it running off as you try to lift heavy batteries out. You need to disconnect the chair controller and charger system so you can separate the chair from the power base, once this is done you can then lift the chair off and put to one side.
Now you can remove the body shroud from the base and you will be able to see the batteries, by this stage you would have already opened the delivery from us and can see how the batteries are laid out. The batteries are connected to the power base via a cable with a connector, if you undo this and pull the battery out it makes it easier to change the cables while out of the base. Just swap them over with the new batteries and reverse the order to put it all back together, it will take no time at all before you are back up and running.
How to charge and maintain scooter batteries?
Although the batteries have probably come to you almost fully charged the first charge after fitting is important, so charge before you use them for the first time. know that it is going to take a number of charges maybe six or seven before your battery will reach full capacity.
