The Sundancer is a 3-wheeled mobility scooter with pneumatic tyres, 8-inch one to front and 9-inch ones to the rear, it takes 32ah U1 batteries as standard, ours have a few more amps so you will get the benefit of a little bit more distance on every charge. The manufacture quotes 20-25 miles the original ones, do not forget that hills and the such will have an effect on the distance you can travel, and of course you should never run the batteries all the way down unless its an emergency. This scooter can be broken down into seven smaller pieces to ease transportation.
Even though the batteries you receive from us will be almost fully charged you should still complete a full charge before first use, just charge them until your charger LED lights indicate that they are ready. Do not miss out this important first step, it will help set them up and possibly extend the overall life expectancy of them.
While is not something that most will even notice but it will take a number of charges and corresponding use in the device before a full capacity charge is reached, this is a normal part of the conditioning process. When you have used your devices then put the batteries back on charge, you do not want to allow them to sit in a partially discharged state. Going out of your way to fully discharge the batteries will reduce their life span, so do not do it. If there are extended periods where the batteries are not being used then ensure they are fully charged beforehand then recharged every four weeks but you should not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours.
These 12-volt batteries are valve regulated and AGM or absorbed glass mat, not need for any liquid as the acid is held within the glass mat, this means they will not spill and not-hazardous so safe for use around the home and or travelling, even aeroplanes but you should confirm this with your airline at point of booking your flight. They are deep cycle which would be required in this sort of application.
So many codes on mobility devices are almost the same, you should carefully check them before ordering to ensure you are getting the right pack. If in doubt then look at your old batteries, take a note of the dimensions and anything that is written on the side, this will always be the best information to have.
