We have tried to list the relevant information to help you decide to purchase new mobility batteries for your Pride Mobility Maxima. The electricity supplied from the mains is stored in deep cycle batteries onboard, they are two 12v 34ah batteries and they are replacements for them. Being AGM and VRLA, they are rechargeable along with deep cycle capabilities as would be needed in this type of use; they are safe to use indoors and also recyclable. Even though the batteries you receive from us will be almost fully charged, you should still complete a full charge before your first use. The charger LED lights will indicate whether it is still charging or not. You only need to charge them until they are ready. You may be impatient enough to fit and use the equipment without charging, but it's well worth waiting until it's fully charged and will help extend overall life expectancy.
If you are a regular user, you will probably not even notice it. However, it can take up to ten charges and associated use in your device before it can accept a full capacity charge; this is all part of the conditioning process and quite normal. Each time you have used your electric vehicle, you should put it back on charge as soon as possible; do not leave it in a semi-discharged state for any longer than necessary. Never try to discharge the batteries all the way down. This will only reduce the life span and cost you money in the long run. If, for any unforeseen reason, there is an extended period where you are not using the batteries, make sure they are fully charged first, then recharge every four weeks, but do not leave them on the charger for more than 24 hours.
These 12v batteries are valve regulated and AGM or absorbed glass mat, not need for any liquid as the acid is held within the glass mat, this means they will not spill and are not hazardous, so safe for use around the home and or travelling, even aeroplanes but you should confirm this with your airline at point of booking your flight. They are deep-cycle, which would be required in this sort of application.
