After you have unpacked your new battery order from us you will note that they will have a good charge in them, but you still need to complete a full charge before first use, just charge them until your charger LED lights indicate that they are ready, you may well just want to fit them and use the equipment, but do not miss this first step, it's worth waiting until the first charge has completed and it might contribute to over life span

Unless you are a very extended user your will probably not even notice that it can take a number of charge and use in your equipment before a full capacity charge is achieved, this is all part of the conditioning process, each time you have used your electric vehicle then you should put it back on charge as soon as you can, do not leave it sitting in a semi discharged state for any longer than necessary, never go out of your way to deliberately discharge, this will only reduce overall life span, it is important to keep a charge in the batteries for long life, so if there is any period of time where they are not being used then charge before hand and top this up every 4-weeks but do not leave on a charger for more than 24-hours

These 12-volt batteries are AGM (absorbed glass mat) and VRLA (valve regulated lead acid) they are deep cycle and not-hazardous so suitable for use indoors or in electric vehicles, they will not leak all features that make them useful for use in this kind of application, they of course do not require any maintenance

You should confirm the code on your mobility equipment carefully, there are many that are very similar so you order the right battery set, if in doubt look at you old batteries, check the dimensions and take note of anything written on the side of them, we have also included the physical dimensions of the battery to make certain, these batteries are made mainly of lead which is easy to be recycled, more information about recycling can be found at the foot of this page
