When you receive your order from us your new batteries will be almost fully charged but you will still need to complete the charge before first use, there should be no need for many hours, just until your charger indicates they are ready, this will of course depend on the charger capabilities, do not just fit them and roll without this initial charge, it will help to extend the battery life overall
It's not always apparent but it will take up to ten charges combined with use in your device before a full capacity charge can be achieved, this is the normal part of conditioning, each time you have used your electric vehicle then you should put it back on charge as soon as you can, do not leave it sitting in a semi discharged state for any longer than necessary, do not attempt to deliberately discharge the batteries, it will only do them harm and will reduce the life span, if it turns out there are periods where the equipment is not being used on a regular basis then ensure the batteries are fully charged before any period of downtime and then topped up every four weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours
These are 12-volt valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak they are both AGM and VRLA, of course they are the required deep cycle kind and they are not-hazardous so safe for on the road and indoors as well as travelling by aeroplane, but of course you should confirm this with your airline at point of booking your flight
