When you receive your order from us your new batteries will be almost fully charged but you will still need to complete the charge before first use, it should not take that long, just until the charger indicates its ready, if in doubt overnight will be more than enough, do not be impatient, wait until this first charge has completed before thinking about using the equipment, it will contribute to overall battery life
While is not something that most will even notice but it will take a number of charges and corresponding use in the device before a full capacity charge is reached, this is a normal part of the conditioning process, allowing your new batteries to sit without charge is not a good idea, as soon as you have finished using it put it back on charge, do not attempt to deliberately discharge the batteries, it will only do them harm and will reduce the life span, there may well be extended periods where the batteries are not being actively used, if so ensure they are charged fully beforehand and then recharged every four weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time
These 12-volt batteries are sealed lead valve regulated or VRLA and further benefit from using AGM technology, this means they will not spill so can be used indoors or on the road or pavement without fear of leakage, capable of deep cycling as would be essential in this type of application, they are not-hazardous so safe for use in travel including aeroplanes but you should check with your airline at time of booking
