The manual contains very detailed charging information, but you will get the most out of them if you follow a few simple rules and tips. To begin, fully charge your batteries before the first use; this may take 10 minutes or 10 hours. Second, if you use your vehicle on a daily basis, charge its batteries as soon as you get home from work. Your vehicle will be ready each morning. Manufacturers recommend charging your vehicle's batteries for at least 8 to 14 hours after daily use. Allowing them to be discharged to less than 20% capacity will go a long way toward extending the battery's life. Charge every four weeks if not in use to slow down the natural self-discharge.
