When you receive your batteries order from us, they will have a reasonably high charge. But you still need to charge them before first use fully. This will not be necessary only if you are being fitted in something that is always connected to the mains, like a UPS system which will do this job for you. Your charger will indicate to you when it has completed the charge. It will probably not take very long, depending on the charger. The light will generally change when it is ready. You may want to fit them and use the equipment, but do not miss this first step if needed. It's well worth waiting until the first charge has been completed, and it may well contribute over the life span.
It's not always apparent, but it will take up to ten charges combined with use in your chosen device before a full capacity charge can be achieved. This is just a normal part of the conditioning process. Recharge after each use, and do not let them sit in a partially discharged state for longer than necessary. You should never deliberately go out of your way to try fully discharge the batteries. It will not reset them. This will only reduce its life span and cost you money in the long run. There may well be extended periods when the batteries are not actively used. If so, ensure they are charged thoroughly beforehand and then recharged every six weeks but do not leave them on the charger for more than twelve hours at a time.
