Your portable battery pack for your Invacare Birdie, EVO Compact & Plus Patient hoist contains two sealed batteries. they are easy to change, just undo the screws holding the cover on and you will see the batteries. it will take you no longer than five minutes to change them.

This Pack contains two batteries which are 12v and combines the pack to produce 24v.
Remember to charge your new rechargeable Invacare Birdie, EVO Compact and Plus patient lift hoist replacement Battery pack before first use. and try to keep topped up. the most damage to sealed lead acid batteries is done when it is allowed to become discharged. it is far better to charge after every use than to use it many times only charge it when it becomes flat. this will reduce the overall life span of the battery meaning you will have to replace earlier than you might like.
These batteries are valve regulated lead acid or VRLA, they are also AGM or absorbed glass mat technology. they need no maintenance except of course charging, they will not spill and a direct replacement for the ones inside your existing pack.

The battery fitting is not difficult, but we understand that not everyone is comfortable doing such a job and might not even have the tools to handle it or have mobility issues.
We can do this for you. At the top of the page, under available options, you can select to include fitting with your batteries. If selected, we will email you the address to send your box to, along with packing and further instructions. Upon receipt of your parcel, we will then inspect & fit the new batteries for you and check that they output the correct voltage. If you want us to check your charger, too, at the same time, then we can at no extra fee. These are normally turned around the same working day, depending on what time it turns up.
