Installing the batteries is fairly simple. They are stored underneath the seat and are contained in a plastic battery box which only requires a screwdriver to open. If you need help then please seek advice from a professional.
The batteries require no maintenance but that does not mean they do not need charging. This kind of battery is capable of many thousands of charges, but only if it is discharged a small amount. Therefore you should charge after every use, never leave the battery partially discharged. Never charge for more than 24-hours and if not using for long periods charge every four to six weeks.
The standard batteries that come with the BH220 when bought new would have been a pair of 12v 12ah sealed lead batteries and for sale here is a direct replacement for that however we are able to offer an upgrade. This upgrade would allow for the user to travel further in between charges and more importantly there will be more charge left in it after use. Starting a charge from a higher percent charge is beneficial to the battery and will make it last longer overall.
