All rechargeable batteries need some care, ensure you charge this kind of battery before first use, do not put away discharged and charge every 3 months if not being used. Try not to leave on charge for more than required to get a full charge. Most of the time they need replacing before their life span is up is because they haven’t been looked after correctly so be sure to follow this guide.
If you do not keep them charged the cells inside, which they are many, will slowly end up with different voltages. This over a long period will mean the charger can no longer see it as a battery. This is because the difference in the voltage across them will cause them to be out of balance. So do keep them charged and you will get a long life from them, else its back to us to buy another.
