Shoprider is a leading manufacturer of electric vehicles within the mobility sector, their mobility scooters are very popular around the world and for good reason. They have wide range of mobility scooters and powered wheelchairs designed to fit different users’ needs. The Shoprider-Cooper is a three wheeled, easy to disassemble, transportable scooter that is ideal for putting into a boot of a car or taking it abroad.
The batteries for this scooter are stored in the box underneath the seat, the box opens up and inside is a pair of environmentally friendly, not-hazardous, non-spillable, valve regulated lead acid, absorbed glass matt batteries. Eventually you will need to replace them and this is what is for sale here with upgrades available. How to charge and maintain Shoprider-Cooper batteries?
Keep your new battery fully charged as much as possible, charge before first use and after every time you use it but never for more than 24 hours. If 4-weeks or so will pass without use then a top up charge will help keep the cells fresh for next use.
Installation
Installing your new batteries will be fairly simple and you should look in your manual for detailed advice or seek out an professional if need be. They are stored underneath the seat inside a box that has a handle and can be taken off the scooter. Flip this upside and undo the screws around the edge, flip it back over and the lid will come off, inside you will see two batteries with four wires. Simply change them for the new ones and do the box back up.
