The Leon is a rear-wheel-drive power base that can be used both indoors and outdoors. The extremely short wheelbase allows for quick manoeuvrability. It is designed for speed without sacrificing stability or control. If you want to be outside, the Karma-Leon will take you there. The full four-wheel suspension adds comfort and smoothness to the ride. The powerful motors can overcome the roughest terrain at speeds of up to 8mph (12.5 km/hr). The Karma-Leon series can be supplied with multiple different seating options, the LEN-Sling-Seat, LEN-Captain-Seat and KISS-Seat. Whichever version of the Karma-Leon powered wheelchair you have it will still require the same batteries to power it.

How to charge and maintain Karma-Leon batteries?
There are many myths about battery maintenance, but here are a few simple guidelines to follow. The first thing to note is that, as with any rechargeable battery, it will require several charges to reach full capacity; this is completely normal. When your new batteries arrive, they must be fully charged; this may only take a couple of hours. More importantly, never leave the battery discharged; charge as soon as possible after each use until full, and never completely drain the battery. If the power chair will be inactive for an extended period of time, charge it once a month to extend the life of the batteries.

Can you upgrade Karma-Leon Powerchair batteries?
Yes you can, this is important so please read the following and take care when choosing.
You would have had the option of purchasing either the smaller 50ah batteries or the larger 75ah batteries at the time of purchase. We can provide either, but you should make sure that whatever you buy will physically fit into your battery casing. The details of each battery are listed below, and you can choose which one you want from the easy upgrade section above. The alternatives tab contains more detailed information on each of these batteries.
Standard-50ah – The basic, high quality AGM that this page is offering.
GEL-40ah – Same physical size as the above 50ah but in GEL.
AGM-75ah – physically larger, higher ampere batteries for longer lasting.
GEL-73.6ah – same size as AGM 75ah but with GEL technology.
