The Relaxa is a motorised belt that when activated acts as a lift to aid users to get in and out of a bath. When not in use the belt can easily be retracted. The whole unit is generally a stand-alone device, just needs good fixing to the wall and the belt base, which is normally the floor.

The battery pack is pulled out from the left-hand side of the case and charged outside of the bathroom for safety. The battery box has a pair of batteries inside to output 24v, which can be changed for new ones when required. Changing the batteries is not overly complicated, but they are a snug fit; we always use reinforced tape to keep the cables tight when the batteries are put in. We have seen the screws in a few different types of heads, including Philips, but usually a T10 star type; we would think as long as you have a driver and some tape, it would take most people no more than ten minutes to fit. We may be able to fit them for you if required; see above.
Now you have put new batteries in your battery box, and saved a considerable amount of money over buying a completely new box for five minutes of your time, you need to know how to look after them. While it will almost certainly not be convenient, the very best way is to charge them when they arrive. Charge them after every use and if not being used then recharge them every four weeks. Only leave it on the charger until indicates it is full and remove it. Now, this is probably not the way most will treat them, but at least if you know the best way you can make a educated descision.
