The Strider-2a is a lightweight mobility scooter produced by Drive Devilbiss and often offered by Argos. It has a maximum user weight of twenty-one stones and a chassis that breaks down into five pieces for easy transportation. The full range quoted for the scooter is 6.8 miles, but that would be with perfect road conditions, fresh batteries and a light rider.

The standard battery that came with this scooter is a 12ah version. This offer is for two of them to replace the existing ones. Changing them is well within the capabilities of most people. Turn the box upside down and remove the twelve screws from underneath using a Philips screwdriver. Roll the box back and remove the lid. You will see the batteries are held in place with two additional screws; remove them and swap them over one at a time. Even for the first time, you should still be able to do it in ten minutes, so it is worth a try.

Did you know that you can recycle your old batteries? You can just visit your local recycling centres and dispose of them there. This can help the depleted batteries to be turned into something new, perhaps even another battery!
