If you have the RS model, please select the AGM upgrade as this is what the scissor lift was originally supplied with. These models typically use 24V DC battery systems, and depending on which model you have, they will be equipped with either Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) or flooded lead-acid batteries.
For those using flooded batteries in these models, it’s important to check the electrolyte levels regularly and add distilled water as needed. These batteries also need proper ventilation to prevent the build-up of gases, which can shorten their lifespan if not managed properly. Charging after each use is recommended, and for lifts that are not in regular use, it’s advisable to recharge the batteries every four weeks to mitigate the natural self-discharge. AGM batteries, commonly found in the 6RS and 10RS models, offer a more hands-off approach, as they don’t require fluid level checks but still obviously need charging.
