It’s important to ensure that the battery is recharged after each shift or as needed to prevent any downtime during patient transfers. Charging is usually done using a docking system where the battery can be easily removed and replaced, ensuring the lift is always operational. However, it’s essential not to leave the battery on the charger for extended periods—charging for 6-8 hours is typically sufficient. Overcharging the battery can shorten its lifespan, so removing it promptly once charged is advised.
