The Dolphin bathing is a motorised belt that, when activated, aids users to get in and out of a bath. When not in use, the belt can be easily retracted and tucked away. The whole unit is generally a stand-alone device, needs good fixing to the wall and the belt base, which is usually the floor.

The battery box is in a metal case and can be pulled from the left side of the apparatus. It's 24V and looks like the ones in the pictures. Inside the box are a pair of 12V batteries that combine to output 24V. The case is typically held together with T10 security screws. However, we have seen some with Phillips screws instead. If you have the correct driver and some tape, then it's not a difficult job to change. The important thing is to get the right batteries; the ones to use are about 2mm smaller than those seen in general use. We have the right ones as advertised here. Now that you have put new batteries in your battery box and saved a considerable amount of money by buying a completely new box for five minutes of your time, you need to know how to look after them. While it will almost certainly not be convenient, the very best way is to charge them when they arrive. Charge them after every use, and recharge them every four weeks if not in use. Only leave it on the charger until it indicates it is full and remove it. Now, this is probably not the way most will treat them, but at least if you know the best way, you can make an educated decision.
