The Hoveround LX batteries will arrive almost fully charged, but you will still need to charge them before first use; charge until the charger indicates it's finished.
You may notice that it will take up to ten charges and associated use in your Hoveround LX before the batteries are capable of taking a few capacity charge, this is normal, charge your new batteries after each and every use. they are capable of many charges but this will be reduced if you run them down in-between, never try to deliberately discharge, this will only reduce overall life span. If, for any reason, there is an extended period when you are not using the batteries, make sure they are fully charged first, then recharge them every 4 weeks, but do not leave them on the charger for more than 24 hours.
These Hoveround LX batteries are sealed lead valve-regulated or VRLA and benefit from using AGM technology, which means they will not spill, so they can be used indoors or on the road without fear of leakage. They are safe for use in travel, including aeroplanes, but you should check with your airline at the time of booking
