The Freerider Ascot 3&4 takes a pair of these 12v 12ah, or 18ah, sizes or both below batteries supplied as standard fit on this model. But as previously stated, other options are available at the point of purchase of your scooter. So, if you do not know what batteries you had initially, then look inside your case to confirm. The measurements are below so you can check. Fitting is very straightforward. Just refer to your manual. It is usually best to lay the new batteries alongside so you do not inadvertently connect the wrong cables.
These batteries are sealed and will not spill if laid on their side. They are approved for air transport and should be accepted for such travel. Contact your airline for more information.
The best advice we can give for battery care is to keep them charged. If not being used for long periods, recharge every four weeks. Any damage limiting the battery life is generally made when the batteries are below 20% charge. This is not always possible, so it is a compromise. Please do your best to charge after every use to minimise this, but do not leave it on the charger for more than twenty-four hours at a time.

The larger 18ah batteries are taller and thinner, 181mm x 77mm x 165mm.
If you do not know what you have, perhaps look at the box, not including the handle. If it is about five inches high, then it's probably the smaller 12ah box. If it's over seven inches high, then it is more likely to be the larger 18ah box. As stated, both can be upgraded. Look above for available options.
