The Invacare Solar mobility scooter easily breaks down into five much smaller parts for ease of transportation and can easily be put into the boot of most cars, the battery box as standard holds two 12v 12ah batteries which is what this offer is for, fitting is just a matter of undoing the screws and swapping the batteries over.

There are five LED warning lights on the so you can self diagnose some issue with the scooter this is available in your owners manual, probably the ones you will know the most and single flash which means the battery needs recharging and a double flash which indicates that the voltage is to low. this is often the case when the batteries are no longer capable of taking a charge and need replacing.

These batteries are valve regulated sealed lead acid, combines with absorbed glass mat technology, they will not leak they are safe to be thrown about in the boot of a car, public transport and even airlines although you should confirm this at point of booking your flight.

After you have fitted your new batteries into the Invacare Solar box ensure you charge before first use, this should not take long as they will be presented to you almost fully charged, it is normal for them to require several uses and charges before they are able to take a full capacity charge. you should fully charge after every use, you do not want to leave this kind of battery sitting around for long periods in a discharged state, you should not if you can help it allow the charge to go below 20% in general use. if you can maintain that they will last considerably longer overall and if you are not using on a regular basis ensure it gets a top up charge at least very two months to try to arrest the natural self discharge that will occur with any battery type.
