Please find the information on this page for a set of mobility batteries for the Quickie Guardian powerchair, the electricity supplied from the mains is stored in deep cycle batteries onboard, they are 12ah cells, it uses 2 x 12-volt batteries which is what we are offering here, safe to use indoors they are the required VRLA with AGM technology (more information about the chemistry of them will be found below) suitable for use in electric vehicles they are recyclable and very environmentally friendly, see out recycle page for details

The batteries that you receive from us in the order will be almost fully charged, but you should still charge them before first use, just charge them until your charger indicate that they are ready, you may well just want to fit them and use the equipment but it's worth waiting until the first charge has completed and it might contribute to over life span
It will probably take a few charges and use in your equipment before you are able to receive a full capacity charge in your batteries, this is quite a normal part of the conditioning process, charge your new batteries after each and every use, they are capable of many charges but this will be reduced if you run them down in-between, you should never go out of your way to fully discharge the batteries, this will only reduce its life span and cost you money in the long run, there may be extended periods where they are not being actively used, if so ensure they are charged first and then recharged every four weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time
The battery cells are constructed using absorbed glass mat technology or probably better known as AGM, they are also valve regulated sealed lead acid or VRLA, this is the recommended type of battery for this installation, they will not leak if mounted on the side so safe to be used indoors without the fear of spillage and suitable for electric powered vehicles
