Charge your new batteries fully before first use, also charge as soon as you can after each and every use, do not try to deliberately run them down and if not being used then charge them every six weeks.

A little word on changing the batteries over yourself, from our experience you need to flip the battery box upside down and there will be a total of 13 recess which have Philips screws at the bottom, if you cannot find the last 2 then they may be hidden under a sticker. Please note that the four screws around the connection points do not need to be touched. Once you have lifted the lid its as simple as swapping the batteries round and putting it back together after.
