When the order is delivered to you the batteries will be almost fully charged, but you still need to charge them before first use, while you only need to charge until the charger says its finished it is very important and not a step you should overlook, you may well be impatient just to fit and use the equipment but it's well worth waiting until its fully charged and will help extend overall life span

You may notice that it will take up to ten charges and associated use in your device before the batteries are capable of taking a few capacity charge, this is normal, charge your new batteries after each and every use, they are capable of many charges but this will be reduced if you run them down in-between, never try to deliberately discharge, this will only reduce overall life span, if you are not using them for long periods then recharge every 4-weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time

These are valve regulated sealed lead acid batteries and will not leak they are both AGM and VRLA, they are not-hazardous so safe for on the road and indoors as well as travelling by aeroplane, but of course you should confirm this with your airline at point of booking your flight
