When the order is delivered to you the batteries will be almost fully charged, but you still need to charge them before first use, just charge them until your charger indicate that they are ready, while you may well be tempted just to fit them and go it's well worth waiting that short period to set them up in the right way before you start
it may well take a few charges and use in your equipment for the battery to condition and be able to take a full capacity charge, this is quite normal, after you have used your equipment you should put it back on charge as soon as you are able, do not leave it sitting around in a partially discharged state for any longer than absolutely necessary, never try to deliberately discharge, this will only reduce overall life span, there may be extended periods where they are not being actively used, if so ensure they are charged first and then recharged every four weeks but do not leave on the charger for more than 24-hours at a time
These batteries are sealed lead valve regulated or VRLA and benefit from using AGM technology, this means they will not spill so can be used indoors or on the road without fear of leakage, they are not-hazardous so safe for use in travel including aeroplanes but you should check with your airline at time of booking
