The Jaunt-Plus mobility scooter produced by Livewell was rated very highly upon its initial release and praised by its customers. The Jaunt-Plus is the upgraded version of the standard Jaunt which brings many different upgrades and features. The new and improved model includes front and rear suspension to provide a more comfortable journey and an upgraded delta tiller handlebar. As with the standard the model, whether you are going on holiday or on days out with the family it couldn't be easier thanks to the easy split design the scooter can be dismantled into five separate allowing you to lift parts into the scooter in and out of your car boot with ease.
The main benefit brings an upgraded battery, this allows for a larger range on a full charge than its sister. It is the same physical size as your current ones so easy and quick to install. These batteries are sealed, non hazardous, not-spillable AGM type. This means they are great for transportation including airlines which accept these however you should tell them at point of booking.

Fitting of your new batteries is easy, just roll the box over and undo the ten screws holding the lid on your battery box, the ones round the outside, using a philips screwdriver, some are quite deep down the holes, if you cannot feel them use a torch to check. Not the ones near the terminal. Turn it back and then the lid can be taken off exposing the batteries. Then just change one at a time, there is only two wires to each battery so you shouldn’t go wrong, but perhaps if it makes you feel more comfortable take a picture at this point so you have something to refer to should you get called away before finishing.
Maintaining Jaunt-Plus scooter batteries?
Although these batteries are classed as AGM and maintenance free, charging your batteries is very important. Most of the damage occurs when they are allowed to run flat, so please charge upon delivery and before first use although this should not take long as all our batteries are dispatched with sufficient charge. If a period of six weeks will pass without use then charge them to slow down the natural discharge rate. Once these batteries have come to the end of their life then please recycle them, they are mainly made of lead which means they can be made into a different product.
Upgrade your Jaunt-Plus batteries?
You can upgrade to a 22ah battery set or even LiFePo4 versions which are the same size and same terminals for an easy installation. However the technologies of these are very different and if you wish to read more information on them a link will be on the alternatives tab.
