Bruno is a well know and trusted manufacturer of mobility devices such as wheelchair lifts and stairlifts. The Homeadapt-Elite and the Homeadapt-Elite-Curved are popular stairlifts that will be found in many different homes throughout the UK. This classically-designed stairlift is available with a generous seat size and all the regular features you would expect such as an adjustable seat, footrest and armrest width for additional comfort and security. It also has two wireless remote controls which are ideal for multi-user households.

Both of these stairlifts is continuously powered by two 12v DC (direct current) batteries, so it can even be used in the event of a mains power cut. Rechargeable batteries need to be replaced eventually, that’s completely normal as they can be recycled after use. Changing them over is a quick, easy and cheap job to accomplish. This is an offer for a pair of batteries that are not-hazardous, non-spillable, valve regulated lead acid (VRLA), absorbed glass matt (AGM) and twelve volt.

User guide, manual and care of your Homeadapt-Elite
On the downloads tab you will see that we have the Homeadapt stairlift operators manual available for you to download and keep for future reference. This has plenty of information on maintenance, troubleshooting, operations and safety advice. The manufacturers would recommend that you call out an engineer to  swap over the batteries however it is fairly simple and with a screwdriver and some simple knowledge you could do it yourself. The batteries will be stored under the seat and won’t take longer than thirty minutes or so on your first time.

Charging help
The charging will be taken care of by the stairlift as it is charged continuously but if there comes a period of 4-weeks or so when it’s not in use,  turn it on to allow some charge to flow into the batteries, this will prolong the life of them. More details on this can be found in the user manual.

Are Homeadapt-Elite batteries environmentally friendly?
These batteries are sealed lead AGM and safe to be mounted on their side which means they are (including your old ones) environmentally friendly and able to be recycled. At the end of their life please direct them to your local centre for recycling where they can be turned into something new and continue on their green life.
